As usual, every morning when I wake up, I sit down and read a passage or a verse from the Bible. After that, I pray, then prepare myself and go to work.
But one particular morning, I was very quiet — I wasn’t feeling well inside (Deep down, my heart felt uneasy, like I was carrying a quiet sadness I couldn’t explain).
Still, I tried , I went ahead with my devotion. As I finished reading the Bible, something amazing happened — joy suddenly filled my heart completely.
I had just read about Jesus — how He too was tempted, yet overcame and triumphed forever! That story touched me deeply.
Hebrews 4:15–16:
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
At that very moment, words began to rise in my heart — the lyrics of IBARUWA (The Letter). After praying, I opened my computer and started writing them down until the song was complete.
When I finished writing, I prayed again — and as I was praying, I suddenly found myself singing the very song I had just written.
My favorite part is almost the Verse one called:
“When I quietly read this Letter, joy and hope fill my heart.
I can’t hold back my emotions, because I have Someone who loved me beyond measure, He gave His life so that I may be made holy.”
This song reminds us that we no longer have to worry or be afraid — because we have that Letter to inspire us. Jesus has already walked that same path and overcame, and so we too must keep walking and win as He did.
